FLIGHT REVIEWS
Overview
Thank you for selecting Stick ‘n Rudder to complete your upcoming flight review. First things first, we are not out to fail anyone, we are here to teach and improve pilots anyway we can. In some circumstances we may ask you to return and conduct further training/consolidation at a later date to complete your flight review. During the flight review expect there to be a ground and air component.
- The ground competent may include questions or discussions about the following:
- Aircraft knowledge and systems
- Aerodynamics
- Flight planning
- Radio Procedures
- CTAF Procedures
- Controlled Airspace Procedures
- Weight and Balance
- Performance Considerations
- The air exercise may include the following competency elements:
- Steep Turns
- Stalling
- List Item
- Practice Forced Landings
- Precautionary Search and Landing
- Circuits including Cross-wind and Short-field Takeoffs and Landings
- Emergency Procedures (ex. cockpit fire, undercarriage failure, instrument failure, propeller failure)
