CASA TO RA-AUS CONVERSION
RA-Aus is about “freedom to fly”. Flying for fun at an affordable cost. Converting from a CASA licence to an RA-Aus Recreational Pilot Certificate (RPC) is pretty straight forward and most importantly it is a great opportunity to gain new skills. Most pilots holding a CASA licence generally undertake our tailwheel and bush flying course during this conversion.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR CONVERTING
- Be a financial member of Recreational Aviation Australia (RA-Aus)
- Complete a minimum of 5 hours flight time, which includes 1 hour solo, in an RA-Aus registered aircraft
- Complete the RA-Aus converting pilot exam with a pass mark of 80%
- Complete a Flight Test with our CFI
- Share our passion for tailwheel and bush flying!
KEEPING IT CURRENT
Maintaining this licence is easy to. If you do an Aeroplane Flight Review (AFR) in a CASA registered single-engine aeroplane that has a maximum takeoff weight (MTOW) equal to or less than 1,500 kg you just send the details to RA-Aus and they’ll update your RA-Aus Biennial Flight Review (BFR) date.
